If you have a disabled child who now or in the future will receive governmental benefits such as SSDI or Medicaid, any inheritance could jeopardize these future benefits.

A carefully drafted Wholly Discretionary Trust for the benefit of the disabled individual is one vehicle that can provide supplemental support to the individual in conjunction with their governmental benefits. This will allow grandparents, aunts, uncles, parents, siblings, etc. to leave a legacy to the disabled individual permitting them to live a full life while also receiving their full benefits. In addition, it will ensure the money left in trust does not go back to the government.
